Overview

Smarter Pack is designed with privacy as a default. Your trip data, packing lists, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not run advertising, analytics, or any tracking of any kind.

Data We Collect

Data You Provide

Profile Information (Optional)

If you choose to create a profile, you may provide a display name, email address, and profile photo. This information is stored locally on your device and, if you sign in with Apple and have iCloud enabled, synced privately to your iCloud account. It is never sent to our servers.

Trip and Packing Data

All trips, packing lists, templates, and preferences you create are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device except through your own personal iCloud sync.

Data Collected Automatically

None. Smarter Pack contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising networks, or any third-party SDKs that collect data.

Third-Party Services

Smarter Pack connects to the following external services solely to provide app functionality:

Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com)

Used to fetch weather forecasts for your trip destinations. Your destination's coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo's API to retrieve weather data. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API that does not require an account and does not track users. See their privacy policy at open-meteo.com.
