RaveLog Privacy Policy

1. Overview

RaveLog is a personal electronic music event diary for iOS. It is designed to be private by default: your personal library is stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is available, in your private iCloud account. Some optional features use Apple, EDMtrain, Spotify, Firebase, Google Gemini, and APNs so the app can provide discovery, social, AI lineup extraction, and Live Activity updates.

We do not sell your data, rent your data, run third-party advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.

2. Data You Provide

• Event and festival logs: dates, venue names, coordinates, artist names, set ratings, tags, notes, lineup schedules, photos, and ticket/pass attachments you choose to save.
• Profile details: display name and, if you add one, a profile photo for social features.
• Friend and social activity: friend requests, accepted friends, shared nights, festival attendance, and shared festival schedules if you use those features.
• Lineup inputs: lineup text, OCR text from a lineup image, or a lineup URL when you ask RaveLog to extract or harmonize a festival schedule.
• Music-service imports: Apple Music or Spotify artist/library data only when you explicitly connect or authorize those services.

3. Local Storage and Private iCloud

Your core RaveLog library, including logged nights, festivals, artists, venues, ratings, notes, ticket/pass files, and saved photos, is stored locally using Apple's app storage frameworks. If iCloud sync is enabled and available, that library syncs through your private iCloud account using CloudKit.

We do not have access to your private CloudKit database. Apple operates iCloud and CloudKit under Apple's privacy terms.

4. Sign in with Apple

RaveLog uses Sign in with Apple for identity when you use social features. Apple provides an opaque user identifier and, only if you choose to share it, your name or email address. RaveLog does not require a separate username/password account.

5. Friends, Profiles, and Shared Social Data

RaveLog social features use CloudKit's public database so RaveLog clients can find users, send friend requests, and display friend activity.

The following social records may be stored in CloudKit's public database:

• Your RaveLog user identifier, display name, and optional profile avatar.
